Sky started its own in-house HVAC apprentice training school. Named SOAR, Sky is offering paid HVAC training for people with little or no experience in the HVAC field. Sky's goal is to produce competent, well-trained HVAC technicians to service its customers across the Carolinas.
Sky HVAC apprentices will receive accredited, industry-leading training and education through the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). The apprentices incur no training cost and the course materials and books are furnished free by Sky HVAC. The training program lasts three years with graduates receiving regular pay increases throughout the program. Upon completion, the SOAR apprentices will have nationally recognized HVAC credentials.
